We opened a competition for a postdoctoral position in the field of Optical Lasers, Fiber Optics, Optoelectronics or Optical sensors with an initial term of two and half years.
The National Council for Science and Technology (CONICYT) and the Universidad de Concepción, Chile, as part of the Insertion of Postdoctoral Researchers in the Academy of the Bicentennial Program of Science and Technology, invite applications from candidates for postdoctoral positions in support of the university’s broad initiative in Optics and Photonics.
This initiative includes hiring one postdoctoral positions and the enhancement of experimental facilities. This position is initially for a period of two and a half years, further it can be extended for other two years. The current search is open to candidates with experience in one of the following areas: Remote sensing optical techniques including LIDAR and DOAS systems; Quantum information experiments using SPDC; Fiber optics based communication systems; Optical Tweezers and Defocusing microscopy; .
The successful candidate is expected to incorporate within one of the research lines at the Center for Optics and Photonics at Universidad de Concepción. The position includes teaching activities in Spanish after the first year at both the undergraduate and the graduate levels. Teaching duties is at most one specialized course per semester.
