The National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research of Chile (CONICYT) opened the call for chilean and foreign applicants to begin or continue studies in order to obtain the academic degree of doctor in accredited study programs taught in chilean universities.
The national institution, like previous years, will fund a maximum of four years of studies of chilean and foreigns students with academic excellence, this means a final average grade equal or greater than 5.0, or be within the 30% top of his class, and that are confirmed or in the process of application to the doctoral program.
The benefits associated with the grant are maintenance money, payment of the program’s fees, health coverage and, if students have children, a family allowance and support for the concept of pre and post natal, according to the Chilean laws. In addition, there are financing options for internships and travels abroad.
